The Social Services Program is a diverse, community-based program that provides a multitude of services to individuals aiming to improve their quality of life, streamline their access to healthcare, reduce their risk of homelessness and maintain their financial security and autonomy. Services include advocacy, referral and information, coordination of daily living supports, and translations and transportation especially as it relates to healthcare.

Referrals to our Social Services program can be made by health care staff, police, clergy, property managers, friends and family, or other social service agencies.

Lutheran Community Care has a significant role for the residents of Luther Court. We offer weekly assistance with medical appointments, provide counseling, and help to coordinate other community services. We also facilitate opportunities for socialization for the residents of Luther Court.

The Social Services Program and the support provided to residents of Luther Court is funded in part by the Thunder Bay District Social Services Administration Board.

Donations help us maintain our service level as well as respond to crises through an Emergency Fund.
