Caring services for everyone.
Lutheran Community Care provides flexible and responsive social, developmental and spiritual services to people in the northern region of Ontario.
About Lutheran Community Care
Lutheran Community Care is a social ministry organization of the Lutheran congregations in the Thunder Bay area. We provide social, developmental and spiritual services to people in the northern region of Ontario.
Some of our services are local and others cover the large geography of northern Ontario. We partner with the Ministry of Children, Community and Social Services and the District of Thunder Bay Social Services Administration Board in the delivery of social services and developmental services.
Support from the Lutheran Church, local congregations and volunteers help provide our faith-based services to street-involved people and residents of senior care facilities.
Lutheran Community Care, as the host agency for Developmental Services Ontario – Northern Region, is the primary contact point for people seeking information about supports available to adults with developmental disabilities. We confirm eligibility for government-funded services for adults with a developmental disability and facilitate referrals to these services.
